Common questions

Does Doppio provide movies or shows?

No. Doppio is a player: it plays media from your own Plex or Jellyfin servers. No content is provided, hosted or stored by AppSys.

Which servers are supported?

Plex (with multiple accounts and servers) and Jellyfin. Emby support is on the way. Seerr can be connected to enrich detail pages and search.

Which devices does Doppio run on?

Android phones and tablets running Android 7.0 or later, Android TV and Google TV, and Fire TV. iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Windows versions are coming soon.

Can I watch without a connection?

Soon. Downloading movies and episodes to watch them offline is coming in an upcoming version.

Does one subscription cover mobile and TV?

Yes. Your subscription is tied to your AppSys account: sign in with the same account on all your devices.

How does the free trial work?

It lasts 14 days, once per account and per device, with no payment method. Afterwards you can still browse, and playback requires a subscription.

Does Doppio transcode my files?

As little as possible. Thanks to its built-in decoders, Doppio plays the original file in most cases. You can also pick a lower quality, which your server then transcodes on the fly.

How do I sign in on my TV?

Doppio shows a QR code and a short code: scan it with your phone or enter the code on account.appsys.digital. Plex links the same way, through plex.tv/link.

How do I create and manage my account?

Everything happens on account.appsys.digital, the AppSys account portal: sign-up, profile, security and subscription. The same account then signs you in to Doppio on all your devices.
